Anna Silk
Anna Silk is a Canadian actor born January 31, 1974. She's best known for her role as Bo on the Showcase television show Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton in New Brunswick, Canada. Ilkay who is director of drama and producer at St. Thomas University, is Silk's mother. Her father, Peter is an academic. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna recalls her first memories as being at play rehearsals with her mom. Silk was a prominent character in numerous commercials when she was just a child. The Bachelor in Arts was conferred to her by St. Thomas University, 1997. Theatre St. Thomas has produced two plays in the early years: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk moved out of Toronto and moved to Los Angeles during the decade following 1999. She met her future husband, Seth Cooperman, at an actor's training located in Los Angeles in 2007. In 2009, they were wed in civil ceremonies in the month of December. In Fredericton on April 10th the couple renewed their vows after her decision to convert to Judaism. Silk had a son named Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron was her second born baby on May 13, 2016. Silk's TV work is a part of Being Erica as Cassidy Holland and she received a Gemini Awards nod in 2009. In 2009, she was cast in the main character role of Bo Dennis a succubus in the Canadian television series Lost Girl. Silk revealed to fans the joyous announcement that she became pregnant on the set of the final episode of season 3 during an exclusive pre-show to promote Season Three. This was presented by Showcase at the special Season Three show held January 6, 2013 before the show's premiere. Silk posted on Twitter on June 20th that she is ready to resume her work. On June 4, 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures officially announced the beginning of the final season of production. Silk's portrayal of Bo and Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers with the same gender on Lost Girl was named one of the all-time Top Television Couples by CNN (Cable News Network) and declared Top TV Couple of the year 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Because of Silk's popularity Silk has garnered a prominent internet following via social media.
